<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously applying a surface treatment with heat load to a long glass film that is hard to stretch and easily broken in comparison with a resin film. <P>SOLUTION: A method for treating a long glass film G includes sequentially applying a heating treatment, a surface treatment and a cooling treatment to the long glass film G, while transferring the long glass film G, which is continuously drawn out from an unwinding roll 210, along the transfer passage. In the surface treatment, one surface of the long glass film G is brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of a can roll 233 heated with a thermal medium, and at the same time, the other surface of long glass film G is subjected to a treatment with thermal load, such as sputtering, and the expansion and contraction of the long glass film G is adjusted by using, for example, an accumulator roll between the surface treatment and the heating treatment and/or after the cooling treatment, in the transfer passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
