<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hall lantern which can be set in a narrow space. <P>SOLUTION: The hall lantern 3 includes a light source body 10 having at least one surface light emitting part, a protruding mechanism 20 provided to protrude from the light source body 10 and a fastener 5 which is provided at an elevator doorway 7 and in which an aperture part 5c is formed in which the protruding mechanism 20 is inserted and held. The fastener 5 is constituted of an elastic material such as a rubber material.
