<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting fitting capable of being easily attached to vertical frames of a counterweight without performing additional working, and the counterweight including the same. <P>SOLUTION: The connecting fitting 24 connects the vertical frames to each other by being attached to the pair of vertical frames 18 at its both ends constituting an outer frame 12 of the counterweight 10. The connecting fitting 24 includes one part to be connected and the other part 30q to be connected which constitute both the ends, have insertion holes for inserting a bolt, and can be bolt-connected to vertically-arranged through-holes 18h for the attachment of a weight holding member, and arranged along the longitudinal direction of each of the vertical frame parts 18, respectively.
