<p>The invention relates to an optical film manufacturing method for manufacturing optical films using a cast film extruder, which has at least a flow-casting unit for forming the flow-cast film by discharging a dope of a mixed resin of acrylic resin and cellulose ester resin starting materials solubilized in a solvent from a die and flow-casting a dope film onto an endless belt support, a drawing unit for drawing the flow-cast film after being peeled from the endless belt support, a drying unit for drying, and a take-up unit for winding. The optical film manufacturing method is characterized in that the flow-casting unit has an edge-reinforcing solution-supplying means for supplying an edge-reinforcing solution containing the cellulose ester resin in a higher mass ratio than the mass ratio of the cellulose ester resin configuring the dope onto both edges of the dope film or the flow-cast film, and performs flow-casting while supplying the edge-reinforcing solution onto both edges from the edge-reinforcing solution-supplying means.</p> |
