The module has a frame (14) manufactured from profile bars (12). A switching system and a transformer are integrated in the frame and define a function e.g. machine function, of the module. The bars are designed as construction profiles made of an extruded aluminum. Connecting elements couple the bars with each other or the bars with other bars of another functional module. The bars include recesses for receiving the connecting elements, where the recesses are provided with a groove and/or a screw channel. A thickness of the bars is selected based on the function of the module. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a module system (2) a method for constructing an industrial system and a building.
