PURPOSE: A silicon blanket is provided to productively manufacture precise print products such as components for a plasma display panel or a liquid crystal display with a higher print precision than existing products, using a roll-to-roll method compared with, and to supply a silicon blanket having a long lifetime. CONSTITUTION: A silicon blanket(1) comprises a substrate and a cylindrical surface layer(4). The outer circumferential surface of the substrate is cylindrical. The surface layer, which is formed of a jointless and cylindrical silicon rubber, is directly formed on the circumferential surface of the substrate, or a lower surface, which is formed of the jointless and cylindrical silicon rubber, is interposed between the substrate and the surface layer. The outer circumferential surface(5) of the surface layer has a surface roughness(Ra) of less than 0.1 micrometer. The surface layer and the lower layer are formed of the silicon rubber which is a two-liquid additional reaction type. The substrate is formed of fiber reinforced plastic. A method for manufacturing the surface layer comprises: a step of spreading the liquid silicon lubber on the outer circumferential surface of the substrate or the lower layer; and a step of rotating the substrate in a circumferential direction, and hardening the substrate so that the outer circumferential surface of the substrate can have the surface roughness(Ra) of less than 0.1 micrometer by the self-leveling of the silicon rubber.
