PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing miR23b for preventing and treating neuropathic pain is provided to suppress NOX4 expression. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating neuropathic pain contains miR23b as an active ingredient. The miR23b suppresses NOX4 expression and enhances GABA expression. The pharmaceutical composition contains a NOX4 inhibitor. The NOX4 inhibitor is siRNA or antisense nucleotide of NOX4 gene or an antibody which is specific to NOX4 protein.
