The invention relates to a method for isolating urea and removing CO2 from plasma samples, comprising the following steps a) providing a plasma sample b) adding an acid in order to partially remove CO2 c) freeze-drying the sample in order to remove further CO2 and obtain a dried sample d) dissolving the dried sample again and neutralizing said sample to a pH of 4 to 7 using a buffer solution, wherein a filtration is possibly performed before the acid is added. |
