<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method that enhances the stereoscopic effect of an image. <P>SOLUTION: Differential mask data, which is divided into an object area and a background area, is created from image data. The center coordinates of each object area is calculated. A gradation pattern is selected according to the average luminance value of the object area, and gradation mask data in which the gradation pattern is applied to the background area is created. Conversion of image data in the background area of the original image data is performed on the basis of the gradation mask data, thereby allowing enhancement of the stereoscopic effect of an image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
