<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods and compositions for treating a bone condition. <P>SOLUTION: The method of enhancing the fusion of bone following a spinal fusion procedure in a mammal includes administering an isolated adipose tissue-derived adult stromal cell (ADAS) in a mammal, wherein the ADAS cell differentiates in vivo into a cell presenting at least one characteristic of a bone cell.
