<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device, having a switch storage case, a holder fixed in the switch storage case, a switch stored and fixed in the holder and a switch button that applies a pressing force to the switch, capable of operating two types of switch buttons without need for changing any other component. <P>SOLUTION: An intermediate cap 60 with a lid 60a for covering a switch 16 and a cylindrical section 60b continuous to the peripheral edge of the lid 60a formed integrally is mounted on a holder 51. A first deformation section 62 for deforming the cylindrical section 60b according to application of a pressing force from a first switch button 66 to the lid 60a is formed at the cylindrical section 60b.
