<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that executes a print job based on print job settings, maintenance items, and maintenance operation status even while a service person is maintaining the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 receives a maintenance item, and sets maintenance operation status corresponding to the received maintenance item. The image forming apparatus 1 receives a print job, and determines whether the print job can be executed as configured, or whether the print job can be executed conditionally, on the basis of the settings of the received print job, the received maintenance item, and the maintenance operation status to be set.
