<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device for efficiently discharging a potential charged in an IPS mode liquid crystal panel. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes: an IPS mode liquid crystal panel 20 that has a first substrate 3 having a plurality of a pair of electrodes each having a pixel electrode and a counter electrode, a second substrate 2 that opposes to the first substrate 3 and sandwiches a liquid crystal layer with the first substrate 3, and a polarizing plate 1 arranged on the second substrate 2; a touch panel 7 that is stuck to the polarizing plate 1 with an adhesive layer 11; and a conductive tape 15 that connects a ground electrode formed on a region on the liquid crystal layer side surface of the first substrate 3 excluding a region where the first substrate 3 and the second substrate 2 oppose each other, and a conductive film formed on the second substrate 2 to one another.
