<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC motor that has high performance and is compact at reduced manufacturing costs. <P>SOLUTION: The DC motor has a square sectional structure in which a cylindrical magnet 50 is surrounded by a peripheral part comprising a motor case 10 and a back yoke 70. The magnet 50 is arranged such that the center of magnetic poles 51a-51d of the magnet 50 is aligned with the center of flat portions 11a-11d of the motor case 10. The back yoke 70 comprising a magnetic material is arranged in regions between corner portions 12 of the motor case 10 and the magnet 50. The DC motor has the structure in which the corner portions 12 of the motor case 10 and the back yokes 70a-70d are arranged at magnetic pole change regions, where magnetic fluxes concentrate, to provide thick magnetic material portions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
