The nail has a nail shaft (13a) comprising a recess (14a), where the nail shaft is expanded in portions through the recess during and/or after driving into components. The recess is designed as a cavity in the nail shaft, and a bolt is enforced into the cavity. The recess is designed as a slot, which causes spreading of the nail shaft during driving. The components are designed as body making parts and made of different materials e.g. plastic or metal. The nail shaft and a nail head (12a) are coaxially arranged to each other along longitudinal extension direction of the nail. An independent claim is also included for a method for connecting two components.
