PURPOSE: A power control system and a power control method thereof are provided to minimize unnecessary power use by efficiently managing or controlling power use according to the amount of power use or the utilizing mode of the electronic device connected to each power control unit. CONSTITUTION: Multiple power control unit(100) controls power supplied to an electronic device with the control of a master control unit(200). The master control unit sets a power limit value of each power control unit. The master control unit blocks the power supply of the power control unit when the amount of power being used exceeds the power limit value of the each power control unit for a predetermined period of time. The master control unit sets a standby power reference value for determining the standby mode of the electronic device connected to the power control unit by each power control unit. The master control unit blocks the power supply of the power control unit when the amount of power being used of each power control unit is less than the standby power reference value for a predetermined period of time.
