<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting the prognosis of the prostate cancer with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: This method for predicting the prognosis of the prostate cancer includes a step of examining at least one SNP selected from a group of rs2891980, rs1805377, rs256550, rs256552, rs256564, rs256563, rs256567, rs1295686, rs20541, rs2162679, rs570730, rs10752126, rs569421 and rs2293554 concerning genomic DNA taken from the prostate cancer patient. Thus, this is the first time to provide a method capable of predicting the prognosis of the prostate cancer with high accuracy. Especially, in a preferred embodiment, the above fourteen kinds of SNPs are suitably combined to thereby predict the prognosis of the prostate cancer with much higher accuracy than based on each SNP single.
