<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which can be reduced in size while achieving both high sensitivity and high pixel density. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided an imaging device 1 comprising: an image sensor 301 for imaging a sample; a closed container 307 that accommodates the image sensor 301 in a sealed manner; a camera body 208 that accommodates the closed container 307; and a displacement member 309 that moves the image sensor 301 in a direction perpendicular to an optical axis of the image sensor 301 with respect to the camera body 208.
