<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination system capable of stably using LED lighting fixtures excellent in operability even in constant current driving, and taking advantages such as easy and efficient large current driving in constant current driving. <P>SOLUTION: An illumination system with LED lighting fixtures 43 comprises setting means 55 for setting a maximum current value of each LED lighting fixture 43 attached to an illuminated device and constant current supply means 50 for applying current of the maximum current value set by the setting means to the LED lighting fixture 43.
