A fertiliser composition which includes a core comprising a fertliser granule/chip, or mineral granule/chip, wherein the core is coated with a first layer comprising a mixture of a plant based oil and a wax or resin, the first layer is then itself coated with at least one further layer comprising a powdered trace element or mixture of powdered trace elements.
