<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method for producing high-purity steel capable of simultaneously achieving extremely low sulfur and extremely low phosphorus. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing high-purity steel by remelting steel by an electroslag remelting method, the steel being produced by a continuous casting method or an steel-making method, a flux added when performing the electroslag remelting and a slug upon melting are controlled to have such composition in which CaO is 20-60 mass%, Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>is 10-40 mass%, CaF<SB POS="POST">2</SB>is 20-60 mass%, T.Fe (iron oxide) is 1-10 mass%, and CaO/Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>is 1.0-6.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
