<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defect determination method for a passenger conveyor capable of easily determining a defective part when there is a defect in a passenger conveyor member, and to provide the passenger conveyor member. <P>SOLUTION: This defect determination method for a passenger conveyor includes a step of irradiating a coated surface with light, for the passenger conveyor member which is incorporated in the passenger conveyor so that it is exposed to the outside during an operation of the passenger conveyor, which is made of a material added with a phosphorescent material, and in which at least the surface exposed to the outside is coated, in the passenger conveyor operated by moving a plurality of endlessly connected steps in a circulating manner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
