A light emitting device (1) is provided with: a substrate (2) the entirety of which is warped such that the center part (C) is highest; a light emitting element (3) mounted on the center part (C) of the substrate (2); a support member (4) provided so as to surround the light emitting element (3) on the substrate (2); and a frame body (5) provided so as to surround the light emitting element (3) on the support member (4) and such that a gap is present with the upper surface of the substrate (2) in locations other than those in contact with the support member (4). Furthermore, in the light emitting device (1), the height position (h1) of the lower surface of the light emitting element (3) is higher than the height position (h2) of the lower surface of the frame body (5). |
