The blade (10) has a wiping lip (14) made to contact with a pane of a vehicle, and molding elements i.e. segments (16, 18), for providing a curvature of the wiping lip. The molding elements are made of polymer e.g. electroactive polymer or mechanically-activated polymer or thermally-activated polymer, and comprise a contact region i.e. electric connection (20). The molding elements are pressurized with energy by the contact region for changing shape of the molding elements. The molding elements are adjacent to each other along longitudinal extension direction of the wiping blade. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a wiper blade for a windscreen wiper system of a vehicle.
