The stepped platform has stage groups (8) which are pivoted about a longitudinal axis by double-acting hydraulic cylinder from a rest position into a use position. A top group of stages has beam carrier portion (5) whose upper end is rotatable on the pivot axis (15), by a pivot device. The lower end of the beam carrier portion (5) is connected with a beam carrier portion (6) of the adjacent stage group through hinge (7). The pivot devices are provided between upper and lower stage group.
