The motor vehicle (2) comprises a seat assembly (4), which has a vehicle seat (6) with a seat part (10). The seat part forms a seat surface for a vehicle occupant. A drive device (18) has a drive unit (20), which is arranged on a side of the seat part of the vehicle seat, where the side of the seat part is provided opposite to the seat surface. The drive unit overlaps the vehicle seat, in vehicle longitudinal direction (21) and in vehicle vertical direction (23), in section-wise manner.
