An electricity supply plant comprises a direct current generator, driven, e.g. by a windmill or by water power, a pressure electrolysis battery operated by the generator to produce hydrogen and oxygen, reservoirs connected to receive and store these gases separately, a hydrogen/oxygen fuel cell battery using the same electrolyte as the electrolysis battery and receiving its input gases from the reservoirs, and a pump which circulates the electrolyte between the two batteries when the plant is in operation.</p> |
