NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE FOR SECONDARY BATTERY, AND NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY MANUFACTURED USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte for a secondary battery, having both excellent cycle characteristics and low-temperature discharge characteristics over a long period; and a secondary battery.

SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes: a positive electrode and a negative electrode which are capable of adsorbing/desorbing metal ions; and a separator. The nonaqueous electrolyte contains, in addition to an electrolyte and a nonaqueous solvent, 0.01 mass% or more and less than 3 mass% of a compound having one or more partial structures represented by the following general formula (1) and two or more isocyanate groups in the molecule. In the general formula, R represents an arbitrary element or group.
