<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an end edge position of an active material layer to be accurately detected in an electrode for a battery in the case that a conductive layer is arranged between a foil like electrode plate and the active material layer. <P>SOLUTION: When the electrode for the battery is manufactured by laminating the conductive layer 21 and the active material layer 23 in order in a region other than a formation region of an uncoated part 3a which causes a surface of a foil like electrode plate 22 having conductivity to be exposed, the conductive layer 21 and the active material layer 23 are laminated in the state that an end edge of the active material layer 23 of an upper layer side is positioned close to the uncoated part 3a side than an end edge of the conductive layer 21 of a lower layer side, in at least a part of end edge parts in the formation region of the active material layer 23 at an existing side of the uncoated part 3a, thus resulting in determining an existence position of the active material layer 23 with that portion as an object portion to be detected by an optical position detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
