<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface emitting laser of high yield and high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: A surface emitting laser emitting laser beams in a direction perpendicular to a substrate, includes a transparent film formed on a peripheral part around a center part of emission of the laser beams on an outgoing surface outgoing the laser beams, by a dielectric film for reducing a reflectance ratio than that of the center part. The transparent film is split into more than one portion and split transparent film portions are located with respect to the emission center of the laser beams, on both sides to become polarization direction of the laser beams, and on both sides to become a direction orthogonal to the polarization direction, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
