<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimmer capable of performing light control quickly and accurately up to desired brightness, and to provide a microscope including the same. <P>SOLUTION: The dimmer comprises a dimmer controller performing light control of LED lighting, and a control unit controlling the light control operation of the LED lighting. The controller has pulse generation means and rough/fine setting means. The pulse generation means generates a pulse for controlling the brightness of the LED lighting, the rough/fine setting means switches a rough light control mode for performing light control of the LED lighting in stepwise, and a fine light control mode for performing light control of the LED lighting substantially continuously, and the control unit is connected with the dimmer controller, receives the pulse, and performs light control of the LED lighting by detecting the state of the rough/fine setting means and then switching the rough light control mode and the fine light control mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
