<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image display device which can prevent switching of a stereoscopic image when a viewer does not move. <P>SOLUTION: A stereoscopic image display device comprises: a display unit including a display panel having a display screen on which pixels are arranged in a matrix and a beam control element controlling light beams from the pixels of the display panel; a camera provided on the display unit; a face tracking part determining whether a viewer is present before the display unit from an image taken by the camera, and detecting a distance from the display unit to the viewer and a position of the viewer by sampling when the viewer is present; a memory sequentially storing the position of the viewer detected by sampling by the face tracking part; and an image display control part estimating a position of a viewer on the basis of the position of the viewer stored in the memory to drive and control the display panel on the basis of the estimated position when presence of the viewer is not recognized by the face tracking part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
