Embodiments of the present invention relate to an electronic transaction and more particularly to a method for generating and storing a record of a financial transaction in an electronic format. In one embodiment, a purchaser selects data relating to the purchaser to be included in the financial transaction record. The purchaser data that is selected is retrieved, along with any additional information to be included in the financial transaction record relating to the transaction. An electronic record of the financial transaction is generated based on the retrieved data. The electronic record of the financial transaction is stored in a database. |
