Polymer fibers with color pigments and dyes, comprises fibers having a core-sheath-structure, where the fiber sheath of the fiber core surrounds the lateral surface (at least 50%). The fiber core contains polymer pigments with phosphorescent properties and the fiber sheath contains polymer dyes with fluorescent properties, where the dyes of the fiber sheath at least partially pass through the light of the wavelengths in the fiber core, which is absorbed and radiated from the color pigments of the fiber core. An independent claim is also included for producing the polymer fibers with pigments and dyes, comprising (a) preparing a masterbatch of a polymer and color pigments with phosphorescent properties and a master batch of a polymer and dyes having fluorescent properties, and (b) preparing the polymer fiber comprising the fiber core with the polymer and color pigments with phosphorescent properties by melt spinning, which is completely or partially surrounded by the fiber sheath made of the polymer, in an immediately following or subsequent processing step, which contains dyes with fluorescent properties.
