<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual acuity display device having a simple configuration, presenting a target image with little distortion due to displacement of an eye point, and saving a space. <P>SOLUTION: A target presentation optical system 3 includes: an image display device 4 provided in a lower inside of a support base 1 on which a housing 2 having a window W is placed, and displaying a target image; a reflecting mirror M1 provided in the lower inside of the support base 1 and reflecting a luminous flux from a target image that is displayed on a display screen 4a of the image display device 4; a convex lens system L1 provided in the inside of the housing 2 and forming a virtual image of the target image by the reflection luminous flux from the reflecting mirror M1; and an optical path folding mirror M2 that is provided in the inside of the housing 2, folds the optical path of the reflection luminous flux that has passed through the convex lens system L1 and presents the target image as the virtual image, at a position a prescribed distance ahead of the eye point I of a subject's eye E.
