<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen the service hours of a secondary battery in an image forming apparatus including the secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 10 includes: a power supply part 12, a charging circuit 16 containing the secondary battery 18, a printing part 40, a voltage detection circuit 22 and ASIC 30. The ASIC 30 includes a main control circuit 34 which is driven by the power supplied from the power supply part 12, and a sub control circuit 38 which is driven by the power supplied from the charging circuit 16. The sub control circuit 38 functions as a measuring part 42 which measures a first predetermined time, which is a time to a specified time, when the power supply part 12 has gotten to a non-output state where it has stopped the output of power, from an output state where the power supply part 12 outputs the power, and stops the function as the measuring part 42 when a second predetermined time, which is from the time when the power supply part 12 gets to the non-output state from the output state to the time when the output voltage of the secondary battery 18 reaches a specified voltage or below, is shorter than the first predetermined time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
