<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner excellent in appearance by preventing light leakage from a needless place. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: an electric blower; a dust collection part that collects suctioned dust; a dust collecting lid 13 that covers the dust collection part and is formed of a material having visibility; a display means 21 that shows a display to urge the disposal of dust in the dust collection part, the cleaning of a filter, etc.; and an upper case 9 that forms an enclosure and has bearing holes 14, for receiving a rotary shaft 15 of the dust collecting lid 13, formed in a position at the almost same height as the display means 21. In the vacuum cleaner, a light emitting body 23 that composes the display means 21 and a display substrate 24 mounted with it are disposed in the upper case 9 and between the right and left bearing holes 14, and a light shielding part 27 formed of a light-impermeable material is provided between the bearing hole 14 and the light emitting body 23. Because the light is shut out by the light shielding part 27 even if the light emitting body 23 emits light for the display, the light can be prevented from leaking out from a needless place such as the bearing holes 14, the dust collecting lid 13 can be formed of the visible material, and the appearance is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
