<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of stably feeding paper sheets. <P>SOLUTION: The paper feeder is employed for feeding paper sheets to the body of the device and includes a sloped plate having a sloped surface that deposits paper sheets that are slanted with a lower side of the paper sheets closer to the body of the device than an upper side thereof and contacts with a lower side of the paper sheets out of the deposited paper sheets, a conveyance section that contacts with the lower side of the paper sheets deposited and conveys the paper sheets in the direction of the body of the device, a paper feeding section that feeds the paper sheets of the outermost layer conveyed by the conveyance section to the body of the device, a pressing section that catches the paper sheets that are disposed above the paper feeding section and are deposited with the sloped plate, and a retaining member that slidably retains the pressing section upwardly and downwardly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
