<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection head capable of reducing redundant nozzles in a joint section between head units, while easing positioning accuracy between the head units, and to provide a liquid ejection apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejection head includes: a head unit (12) provided with a plurality of nozzles; an intermediate unit (14) provided with a fixing section to which the head unit is fixed; and an intermediate unit attachment part to which the intermediate unit is attached to be replaced for every intermediate unit. In the intermediate unit, the head units are arranged so that portions of the nozzles of two head units, which are mutually adjacent in a second direction perpendicular to a first direction, are mutually overlapped in the first direction and positions of the head units, which are mutually adjacent, in the second direction are not mutually overlapped. Then, in a joint section where portions of nozzles of head units, which are mutually adjacent in the second direction, are overlapped, a total number of nozzles N<SB POS="POST">A</SB>, included in a joint section between the head units belonging to a same intermediate unit, and a total number of nozzles N<SB POS="POST">B</SB>, included in a joint section between the intermediate units, satisfy the following expression: N<SB POS="POST">A</SB><N<SB POS="POST">B</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
