<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input device capable of preventing a wrong push of a key with simple operation and surely correcting an erroneous input character when erroneously inputting a character. <P>SOLUTION: A character input device 1 comprises: a character display part for displaying a character in response to an input from a QWERTY keyboard and displaying a cursor at a character input position; a layout table 146 storing arrangement of a plurality of characters on the QWERTY keyboard; and a correction keyboard generation part 148 for generating a correction keyboard by setting an alphabetic character displayed at a cursor position or an alphabetic character into which a character of a predetermined language is reversely converted, as an alphabetic character to be corrected, and selecting the alphabetic character to be corrected and alphabetic characters arranged in the vicinity of the alphabetic character to be corrected from the layout table 146, when a predetermined operation is detected. The character displaying part displays the correction keyboard so as to allow a user to perform touch input and displays a character inputted from the correction keyboard or a character into which the character inputted from the correction keyboard is converted, instead of a character at a cursor position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
