<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring camera system and a monitoring method which enable a user to easily reproduce a high quality image or rewind a live image, and also can reduce the amount of data and costs. <P>SOLUTION: A server connected with cameras imaging still images via a network acquires camera images as still images in a JPEG format from the cameras by a TCP/IP system every predetermined time, stores the still images for a predetermined time period, and restores the still images by converting them into a compressed moving image file after the predetermined time period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
