PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more accurately measure a picric acid reduction product concentration in absorbing-liquid used for desulfurization of coke oven gas.

SOLUTION: There is provided a measurement method for a picric acid reduction product concentration in absorbing-liquid used for desulfurization of coke oven gas, the method including a process A of taking an ultraviolet absorption analysis of sampled absorbing-liquid; a process B of extracting an organic material from the absorbing-liquid after the ultraviolet absorption analysis; a process C of taking an ultraviolet absorption analysis of the absorbing-liquid after the extraction; a process D of taking an elementary analysis of the extract; a process E of taking an infrared spectroscopic analysis of the extract; a process F of obtaining an extraction rate of picric acid reduction products in the organic material based upon a result of the infrared spectroscopic analysis; a process G of obtaining a picric acid reduction product concentration before the extraction rate conversion based upon results of the elementary analysis and the infrared absorption analysis; and a process H of finding the picric acid reduction product concentration from the picric acid reduction product concentration before the extraction rate conversion and the extraction rate.
