<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing apparatus and a video processing method capable of displaying a stereoscopic image appropriately depending on the position of a viewer. <P>SOLUTION: The video processing apparatus comprises a viewer position detection unit, a vision information calculation unit, a control information holding unit, and a vision control unit. The viewer position detection unit detects the position of a viewer by using a video captured by means of a camera. The vision information calculation unit calculates first control parameters so as to set a vision, in which a plurality of parallax images displayed in the display unit can be viewed three-dimensionally, in a region corresponding to the position of a viewer. The control information holding unit holds second control parameters for setting a vision in a predetermined region. The vision control unit sets the vision according to the first control parameters when the viewer position detection unit can detect the position of a viewer, otherwise sets the vision according to the second control parameters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
