<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically construct a best sharpening processing path as a whole, when viewing an image signal from a media data server in a high image quality link. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises an interface which receives an image signal, a signal processing unit which converts the image signal into a first image signal that is sharpened by first sharpening, and further converts the first image signal into a second image signal that is sharpened by second sharpening, and a control unit which controls the signal processing unit. The control unit has a switching unit which controls the signal processing unit to be switched to a first state, when a state of receiving input of an image signal from an external apparatus has been selected, and to perform the second sharpening of the image signal without performing the first sharpening by switching the signal processing unit to the first state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
