[Solution] An LED dimming method for dimming an LED using a phase-controlled power wave from an AC power supply, said method comprising subjecting the phase-controlled power wave to full-wave rectification, then smoothly slicing the full-wave rectified wave to generate a first pulse signal dropped to a TTL input/output level, generating a second pulse signal shaped to a rectangular shape by making the edges of the first pulse signal steep, and providing the second pulse signal to the LED to carry out dimming control synchronized with the phase-controlled power wave.
