AIR CONDITIONER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An air-conditioner and a method for controlling the same are provided to reduce the actuating load of the air-conditioner through vapor injection, and to improve cooling and heating performance by securing a sufficient amount of a refrigerant. CONSTITUTION: An air-conditioner includes an internal heat exchanger(30), an injection flow path(45), a first valve(50), a second valve(40), and a controller. The internal heat exchanger exchanges heat between a first refrigerant which passes through a condenser(20) and a second refrigerant which is bypassed from the first refrigerant. The second refrigerant is injected into a compressor through the injection flow path. The first valve controls the flow of the first refrigerant which passes through the internal heat exchanger. The injection flow path has the second valve. The controller controls the opening degree of the second valve based on the operational information including the opening degree value of the first valve.
