<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing apparatus and a video processing method capable of displaying a stereoscopic video appropriately depending on the position of a viewer. <P>SOLUTION: The video processing apparatus comprises a viewer detection unit, a vision information calculation unit, and a vision control unit. The viewer detection unit detects the number of viewers and the positions of viewers by using a video captured by means of a camera. The vision information calculation unit calculates the control parameters so as to set a vision where a plurality of parallax images displayed on a display unit can be viewed three-dimensionally depending on the number and the positions of the viewer.
