<p>In conventional observation devices for detecting raindrops, when there is one detection region, there is a risk of inaccurate detection due to adhered material other than the object of observation. To solve this problem, this observation device detects adhered matter adhering to the outside surface of a windshield, and is provided with one imaging element and with an optical system forming a first optical path in which light passes to the imaging element from a first region of the outer surface of the windshield and a second optical path in which light passes to the imaging element from a second region, which is a region on the outer surface of the windshield and which is separated from the first region.</p> |
