摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire correct information by weakening the influence of diffracted waves using a low-priced and efficient method suitable for a use context of a device, regarding a method for acquiring azimuth direction information from signals using a GPS receiver, the signals transmitted from a GPS satellite. <P>SOLUTION: The invention concerns with a process of acquiring an azimuth direction in a limited way using captured satellite signals while blocking of satellite signals from a GPS satellite existing in one side of the half-celestial sphere in the sky by using a human body, and simultaneously causing a GPS receiver to retrieve satellite signals from a GPS satellite existing in the other side thereof, the receiver that is installed along the human body vertically to the ground. With respect to diffracted waves from both sides of the human body as a blocker, water filled in a hollow container or a substance having a dielectric loss coefficient approximate thereto is disposed to the surrounding of the GPS receiver to weaken the diffracted waves that would otherwise influence to the receiver just because of using an inexpensive one by effectively taking advantage of the material inherently weaken the waves.
