PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device capable of remotely and flexibly operating transmission/reception with a destination registered in a portable terminal.

SOLUTION: A portable terminal device has: address book storage means that can manage addresses of communication partners by mails; transmission acceptance means for receiving the communication partner to which a user desires to transmit a mail and communication contents; retrieval means for retrieving the communication partner accepted by the transmission acceptance means from an address book; and transmission means for transmitting the communication contents accepted by the acceptance means to the communication partner in the case that the communication partner could be retrieved by the retrieval means.
